The waistband will have slightly more room, which a belt fixes easily; but a hip seam that's too tight will pull across the seat with every step and there's nothing you can do about it. Yes, linen wrinkles — that's inherent to the fiber, not a quality issue. The wrinkles that develop with movement and sitting actually read as intentional texture rather than neglect, especially in neutral colorways like beige, sand, and white. If you can't tolerate any wrinkling, linen isn't the right choice. The upside is unmatched: linen breathes better than any cotton or synthetic in warm weather, and the fabric becomes progressively softer and more pliable with every wash.
At a true petite height (under 5'2") these will likely need a 3–5cm hem taken up — the standard inseam is cut for an average height of around 5'5". Linen stiffness after washing comes almost entirely from machine drying or air drying in direct sun — both cause linen fibers to set rigid. The fix: remove from the washing machine while still slightly damp, reshape by hand, and hang in the shade to air dry. If they dry fully on the line and come out stiff, a 10-minute tumble on low heat with a damp cloth tosses in will soften them. Cold machine wash on gentle is fine for regular care.

The key measurement to get right is the thigh circumference, not the waist: if the thigh fits comfortably, the rest of the sizing logic follows.
