Turn them inside-out before washing to protect the outer surface and prevent uneven fading in darker colours.

In the right fabric and styling, yes — but they won't pass as office wear in any traditional environment. The specific cases where joggers work outside the home: airport travel and long flights (the elastic waist and tapered leg look more intentional than sweats), casual dining where jeans are acceptable, weekend errands, and creative or casual offices. The key is pairing them with something that clearly isn't gym clothing: a structured bomber, fitted turtleneck, or clean-cut leather jacket changes the reading.

At a true petite height (under 5'2") these will likely need a 3–5cm hem taken up — the standard inseam is cut for an average height of around 5'5". Other than length, the proportions work well: the waist and hip measurements scale correctly to petite frames, and the cut doesn't change in a way that looks proportionally wrong.
